Fuel Escalator

The fuel escalator will be based on the most suitable measure of diesel prices.
The surcharge is linked to the consumer price of diesel, inclusive of duties and taxes as measured by the European Commission Directorate General for Energy and Transport and published in the Oil Price Bulletin.
The escalator includes VAT and taxes and will be applied in arrears due to the release dates of the spot pricing data.
For example the monthly average price for fuel in January is used to determine the surcharge for March.

The average fuel price (as indicated by the European Commission Directorate for Energy) for April 2013 was GBP1,412.58 per 1,000 litres. Therefore, the fuel surcharge for the month of June 2013 will be 2.0%
